Pew found AI authorship signs on 10% of sampled webpages and 35% of pages carrying a post-ChatGPT publication date. Pew Research Center ran nearly half a million webpages through an AI detector and found signs of AI authorship or editing on about 10%. Among pages published after ChatGPT’s launch, the share of AI-authored pages was even greater at 35% [1].
