White House Highlights South Carolina Visit and National Policy Claims

The White House said President Donald J. Trump traveled to South Carolina to promote what it described as results of his agenda, including tax cuts for working families, border security measures, lower crime, energy policy and private investment in the state [1]. The administration also stated that FBI Uniform Crime Report data for 2025 showed a large decline in violent crime, and that preliminary first-half 2026 data indicated the decline continued, citing figures it said were consistent with the Council on Criminal Justice and the Major Cities Chiefs Association [5]. Separately, the White House said Ford Motor Company announced it would move Lincoln production to the United States and phase out imports from China, with CEO Jim Farley saying the decision followed the administration's policy [4].
