Hubble and Webb Team Up to Study Distant Trans-Neptunian Objects
Researchers combined observations from NASA's Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes to examine Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs), icy bodies orbiting the Sun beyond Neptune, in what was described as the first joint use of the two telescopes for this purpose [1]. Some of the bodies observed are among the smallest and faintest ever directly seen [1]. The team reported finding fewer small TNOs than expected and said the colors of these objects followed the same patterns seen in larger members of the same family [1].
