Shein Targets Nearly $27bn Valuation in Hong Kong Listing Set for Sept. 1

Fast-fashion retailer Shein could reach a stock market valuation of close to $27bn (£19.8bn) when its shares begin trading in Hong Kong on 1 September [1]. The listing follows unsuccessful efforts to go public in the US and London, which ran into regulatory hurdles amid scrutiny of the company, headquartered in Singapore and founded in China in 2008 [1]. Shein sells low-priced clothing to customers in more than 150 countries, supported by a large network of factories in China [1].
