Texas A&M Safety Dalton Brooks Added to Bednarik Award Preseason Watch List
Texas A&M safety Dalton Brooks was placed on the preseason watch list for the 32nd annual Chuck Bednarik Award, which the Maxwell Football Club announced Friday and which honors the top college defensive player [1]. Brooks, from Shiner, Texas, was named a 2026 team captain after starting 11 of 12 games last season and recording 62 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one interception [1].
