Twilio Opens Webhook Configuration API to Public Beta
Twilio said its Webhook Configuration API entered public beta, letting customers set how outbound webhooks are authenticated and delivered on a per-URL basis [1]. The API has two resources: Webhook Settings, which store authentication and connection details, and Webhook Rules, which tie a setting to a URL pattern [1]. Endpoints can be secured with OAuth 2.0, in which Twilio obtains an access token from the customer's authorization server through the client credentials flow and passes it as a Bearer token in each webhook's Authorization header, or with Shared Key signatures [1]. Delivery behavior such as timeouts and retries can also be configured [1].
