Strong shares the joy of binging a Western whose popularity has endured for decades. I have just completed my “Gunsmoke” summer, my summer of binge-watching the classic series that was the number one show on television from 1957 to 1961. It also ranked in the top ten of all shows for most of its 20-year run, which ended in 1975, when I was a sophomore in high school [1].
