Google expands Preferred Sources and personalization in Search, Discover and News
Google announced personalization features across Search, Discover and Google News, including a "Preferred Source" button that lets users prioritize chosen publishers in Search and AI results [1]. The company said users will soon be able to type specific interests into the Discover feed, and that daily audio briefings in the Google News app can be curated by topic [1]. Google also updated the Preferred Sources button that publishers place on their own sites, adding embed code that returns the user to the original page after they click "Add" [2]. According to the same report, Google said more than 600,000 unique sources have been selected through Preferred Sources [2].
